Senior Payroll Analyst

Workday Payroll Analyst  (13 Month Contract)

A leading organization is seeking a Senior Payroll Analyst, Payroll Transformation to support the implementation of Workday payroll, focusing on Canadian and US employees. Reporting to the Payroll Manager, this role will be instrumental in data analysis, process documentation, staff training, and troubleshooting to ensure seamless payroll operations that are accurate, compliant, and efficient. The position plays a key role in enhancing payroll functions, contributing to an improved employee experience and operational
excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct data analysis, testing, and validation to ensure payroll data accuracy and integrity
• Support the migration of payroll data from legacy systems to new platforms
• Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for new payroll processes
• Assist in training and supporting staff on new payroll systems and procedures
• Troubleshoot and resolve payroll-related issues throughout the transformation and implementation process

Skills & Experience:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven experience in payroll management and transformation projects, particularly with large-scale payroll implementations
• Proficiency with payroll software and tools, including:
  
  • Workday: Experience with Workday Payroll, data integration, and configurable frameworks
  • Dayforce: Familiarity with the Dayforce HCM platform, specifically the Payroll module
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Web-based conferencing and training tools
• Previous experience in the financial services industry is an asset
