A leading boutique Workday partner firm specializing in Workday implementations and support services are seeking a Workday US Payroll Consultant on a freelance, independent basis.
The firm offers a dynamic, collaborative, and fast-paced environment where they support clients in their Workday journeys.
 
An experienced and SI-certified Workday US Payroll contractor is required. Please apply if you hold the necessary certification
 
Job Overview:

A highly skilled Workday US Payroll Contractor with a strong background in implementing and supporting Workday Payroll solutions. This role will involve end-to-end Workday US Payroll implementations, post-production support, and AMS (Application Management Services) for clients.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and/or contribute to end-to-end Workday US Payroll implementations.
  • Manage and configure Workday Payroll modules, ensuring optimal functionality and configuration for client requirements.
  • Provide post-production and AMS support, including troubleshooting, issue resolution, and ongoing improvements.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their business requirements and translate them into functional Workday Payroll solutions.
  • Ensure all project deliverables are on-time and meet quality standards.
  • Provide payroll-related technical expertise and guidance to internal and client teams.
  • Support the testing and quality assurance processes throughout the implementation and post-production phases.
  • Help maintain Workday Payroll configurations and ensure they remain aligned with evolving business needs and regulatory changes.
 
Required Skills & Experience:
  • 3+ years of experience with Workday US Payroll (mandatory).
  • SI Certification in Workday (required).
  • Proven track record with 3+ end-to-end Workday US Payroll implementations.
  • Experience providing post-production support and AMS for Workday Payroll.
  • Strong knowledge of Workday Payroll functionality, configurations, and best practices.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and clients.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.
 
Desired Skills:
  • Knowledge of US payroll regulations and compliance.
  • Experience with Workday integrations related to payroll (such as HCM, Finance).
  • Ability to provide training and support to clients post-implementation.
